In March 2012 the idea of Carver Bible Seminary was born when the likeminded brothers and sister of faith and members of the Carver Bible College Alumni Association, Incorporated met in Atlanta, Georgia at the Brown Avenue Baptist Church, 1481 Jonesboro Road, South East.
- the year 2016, Carver Bible Seminary was born when men and women of the faith decided to ask the Lord about specifics of starting an institution of higher learning with the specific purpose of training leaders for the local church and para-Church ministries. Members and friends of the Carver Alumni Association, c. were led to convene and seek God’s face concerning this proposed endeavor. After years of prayer and seeking the will of God the Carver Bible Seminary, Inc. was born.
The Spirit of the Lord directed the group to accept the challenge. The school is located in Atlanta Georgia at the Brown Avenue Baptist Church. The church, under the leadership of its, pastor, the Rev. Dr. Robert Rice, agreed to allow the Seminary to use its Annex building for the indefinite future
Under the leadership of the Reverend Willie J. Reese the Carver Alumni Association members insisted that a new, independent institution be formed. With unanimous consent and agreement a leadership team was commissioned to work to establish the Seminary. Reverend Paul Harvey, Dr. Robert Rice and Rev. Willie Reese were asked to spearhead the work. They set about doing just that.
The school was initially chartered in October 2014. The nuts and bolts work of bringing to fruition the vision of the members of the Association continues to this day. A more thorough history of the institution is being researched and will be available with the next catalogue publication.
The Carver Bible Seminary, Inc. is a registered Georgia nonprofit corporation and has met the requirements for exemption from the applicable Georgia law as a religious institution. It is a private institution owned and operated by Carver Bible Seminary, Inc. and is neither a subsidiary nor affiliate of any other entity.
The vision for Carver Bible Seminary unfolds as it advances and progresses under the leadership of a capable Board of Trustees and Rev. Paul M. Harvey, President of the Seminary.
